Jon Thompson returns to Sperlak Gallery & Sculpture Gardens for June Jazz 3: Cookin’ at the Barn! This year, the event will feature an evening of soul-inspired Boogaloo Groove Jazz, also known as "Acid Jazz," which gained popularity in the 1960s and saw a revival in the 1990s. With its funky, rootsy sounds centered around the B3 organ, Cookin’ at the Barn will showcase songs by Etta James, The Meters, Booker T. and the MGs, Jimmy Smith, Eddie Harris and more!
